Community leader Olorogun Sleek Oshare has shed light on the tragic killing of sixteen soldiers in Delta State, revealing that the incident stemmed from a long-standing land dispute that spiraled into violence in Okuama community.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Oshare explained that the military personnel were deployed to the area to help mediate a dispute between Okuama and a neighboring community. The conflict, initially between two influential families, escalated due to perceived military connections of one of the parties involved.

Oshare emphasized that the pressure and tensions were particularly high in Okuama, as they lacked representation to advocate for their interests. He also noted the absence of mention of the other community, Okoloba, in the narrative, speculating that fear might have led them to retreat from the spotlight.

Dismissing the conflict as merely a dispute between individuals, Oshare stressed the importance of a thorough investigation to uncover the truth behind the incident. He called for sympathy towards the innocent civilians who may have been caught in the crossfire.

In conclusion, Oshare urged for a closer examination of the situation to avoid misinterpretation and ensure justice for all parties involved.
