Emmanuel TV, the television channel founded by the late Nigerian televangelist TB Joshua, will no longer be broadcasting on MultiChoice platforms, DStv and GOtv, from January 17. Launched in 2006, Emmanuel TV was available worldwide on various satellites.
MultiChoice has confirmed that Emmanuel TV will no longer be accessible on DStv and GOtv platforms, as well as on StarSat and other pay-TV platforms.
TB Joshua, who passed away on June 5, 2021, is currently the subject of a three-part documentary by BBC Africa Eye, which investigates the alleged atrocities and sexual crimes committed by the cleric during his time as a preacher. At least 30 former members and employees of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), which TB Joshua founded, have shared stories of abuse, harassment, rape, manipulation, torture, and staged miracles.
The first installment of the documentary series was released on January 8, 2024.
